Team Sky

A rebrand and rebuild of the website for the championship winning Team Sky cycling team. Built from scratch the frontend was built with Angular, TypeScript and Bootstrap and server side rendered using Angular Universal running inside a dockerised Node.js server and deployed within a Kubernetes cluster on AWS via a CI/CD pipeline. With the content coming from a bespoke Python REST API and CMS built specific for this site.

The content of the site makes heavy use of images and videos and so assets are lazy loaded and animated onto the page when required with placeholder images being used.

The site showcased the latest news and results for the Team Sky team as well as providing information for all their riders, staff and sponsors. The team and website has since been rebranded to INEOS Grenadiers but the site is still in use today.
